Creative IQ recognises the value of celebrating student achievements and promoting learning through photography and video. This policy outlines our approach to capturing and using such media.
1) Purpose
- Showcase learning and STEM achievements.
- Promote Creative IQ on social media, website, or printed materials.
- Share highlights with parents and schools.
2) Consent
- Parents opt-in via booking forms.
- Consent is recorded securely and can be withdrawn at any time.
3) Use and Storage
- Only authorised staff may capture or access images.
- Media is stored securely and not shared beyond intended use.
- Children will never be identified by full name without additional consent.
4) Staff Responsibilities
- Only use approved devices for capturing images.
- No use of personal phones or cameras.
5) External Media
- External photographers (e.g., press or school staff) require pre-approval.
- They must follow safeguarding protocols and receive briefing.
6) Misuse or Concerns
- Any breach is reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Breaches may result in disciplinary action.
7) Review
- This policy is reviewed annually or with changes to law or technology.
